[LASS Soaring] 2008 Polecat Challenge Update!

I'm totally wiped from today, but wanted to drop a quick note...

Friday we flew the 2nd Annual Polecat Pro/Am. Shane Spickler and Craig 
Killer in 3rd, Oleg and Gavin Trussell in 2nd and... lil ol' me and Dan 
Siegel took top honors (flying Polecat products!)

The 2008 Polecat Challenge kicked off officially this AM with 76 pilots! 
6 rounds of true F3K were flown in excellent contest conditions. Mean 
ol' Denny even threw in a 5-minute max last flight task as the second 
round. There's your warm-up!

We'll be flying 4 more rounds tomorrow. There will be one dropped 
round... and the top 6 expert and top 6 sportsmen will do a 3? Round 
flyoff in front of a sure-to-be raucous crowd to determine the winners.

Check out who is in 4th place! Chris Lee, Sportsman, from St. Louis. 
Chris is a reformed heli pilot and has only been flying handlaunch for a 
little more than a year. Go Chris! A really excellent field of sportsmen 
this year...

And yeah, the Pig Roast was very excellent.
