[LASS Soaring] "So I had a Good Day!"

Got in at about midnite from Mexico, so kind of lazed around all day  Friday, 
and had a bunch of honey do's to take care of this morning, a trip to  the 
post office to drop some repaired servos in the mail..and headed home with  the 
idea of taking a nap.  But Karma (='s wife) had other ideas.  That  meant a 
few more things to take care of around the house .
 
It has been an awful long time since I had a plane up on a winch (a week or  
two) and it was driving me nuts....plus the fact that Sunday I was catching a  
plane to Mauritius and Dubai for about 10 days...without my planes! :-(
 
Here's how that happened....I came home she who must be obeyed managed to  
trick me into telling her about this trip...of course from the moment I put the  
plan together I had been agonizing ...Sportube? Wife? Sportube? Wife?.... 
well  you guessed it, this is the first time in a long time my sailplanes weren't 
 coming along :-(.
 
I raced through the list and stepped out side to get closer to my planes in  
the garage when I noticed how nice it was.  Cold but not chilly, no wind at  
all...and sunny.
 
I quickly loaded winch, Baglady TrannyBag and World's Heaviest Carbon Supra  
Lite in to the car and zipped quietly out of the driveway to the field.
 
And it was worth it.  My Talking Timer tuned into channel 10mins and  
proceeded to have some really sweet flights.  The air was buoyant with the  
occasional nice spot of lift to circle in.
 
Twice Geese came by, stopping to make a few turns with my bird.   Really 
great stuff.
 
A good day for sure!
