[LASS Soaring] Awesome slermals in San Sebastian Mexico yesterday!

Got in to Puerto Vallarta at 1pm, my dealer sales guy picked me up and we  
drove about 2 1/2 hours out of town in to the mountains.  I wasn't going to  
bring a plane but he said he'd find me a spot so I loaded up the Supra.   

Pulled up to a look out kind of spot that gave an incredible view over  huge 
valleys for miles.  There were vultures working lots of stuff with  only a 
light breeze so figured what the heck.  Tossed her off and she went  down and out 
for a long ways in both directions, started to get worried when I  hit the 
lift the birds were working well under them but likely a few thousand  feet 
above ground still and zoomed to join them in about a minute.  Flew  for about 
30mins and brought her home for a nice easy catch.  Probably  won't have time 
away from the beach before I leave on Thursday, but at  least I got my thermal 
fix!

As I drove off the parking lot onto the trail I noticed the birds  flying the 
ridge.  As I drove a little further in I noticed one of those  birds was in 
fact not a bird.  As I drove within site of the launch site  I saw Dave Newly 
elected El Presidente of the BSS.  Someone had the  same idea as I.  Shortly 
thereafter AJ then Doug showed and before long  we had 4 planes in the air.  It 
was an overcast day but the winds were  great at 10 to 14.  The link to the

time.
 
Today?  Winds at 16 and only 4WD should try to drive back  there.  Good day 
to be ill.........???  I'll be there at about  noon.
