Hello Kentucky R/C Clubs,
I apologize for the repeat send to some but we are still looking for
pilots in Maine to help complete our journey around the USA.
I found your email address on the AMA web site and I'd like to see if
you or anyone of your club pilots would like to be a part of our adventure.
My name is Frank Geisler and I am the lead coordinator for the Wings
Across America 2008 (WAA-08). Our goal is to fly a battery powered
radio controlled airplane (ParkFlyer) in every one of our 48 continental
United States. What sets this project apart from all the others ever
attempted or completed is that we will hand deliver the plane from pilot
to pilot and will never ship the plane to the next pilot on the list.
We will be creating a "chain" of pilots that theoretically will fly a
model airplane all across the United States and back to the starting
point. It is believed that we will have over 300 pilots participating
in this event. Another goal we have set for ourselves is not have any
one pilot drive more than 50 miles to deliver the plane to the next
pilot. An aggressive goal, especially in the western United States, but
we believe we can get enough pilots to make this happen. We really are
in need of pilots in your area to help complete our USA tour. Please
click on the map link below.
Can you please forward this email to your club pilots to see if anyone
is interested in participating?
Two events coming up that we plan on having the WAA-08 plane fly a demo
flight at is SEFF and Joe Nall. Kick-off for the WAA-08 is planned for
Memorial Day weekend.

If you would like to volunteer to help out, can I get your name,
address, phone number and if your club has a website, can you provide a
link?
Thanks!
