I just want to let you guys know that I finely got to come up and try out
your site. Tuesday I was in town to drop off a bid of some state work, and the
forecast was south 10 to 15. I brought my 2 M molded TD ship and was able to
launch at 1:00 into 5 to 10 mph winds. I could not believe the lift that this
site has. It climbed out to 200' over so easily. It was warm that day and
the plowed field was making some good thermals I spent the next hour catching
thermals over the field and specking out back over launch, and then hitting the
reflex to streak back to the thermal generator to do it again and again. I
had to go on to Winchester to look at a job. I stopped back at 6:00 and it
had dropped to around 5 mph. I waited for some thermal cycles to come through
and launched again and still found a couple more light thermals to climb back
up again. This site has it all, great ridge life and good thermals to boot.
You guys are so lucky to have such a great place to soar. I cant wait to come
back when it is cooking and add ballistic. I tried to DS and I could not
keep it from drifting back as I made the circuits . It is harder that it looks
on the videos. That will take some work for sure. O by the way I did not trim
any trees. I am looking forward to flying with you guys. Thanks for the use
of your site.
Thanks so much
Dan Young
