It was HOT and WINDY today in Texas...big surprise right :-)

Forecast Thursday said"Light winds and warm all weekend".

Steady wind speed of about 10 but gusts up to 15mph were more the norm.

Turbulence ? Duh :-)

The top spots kept shifting, but the top 'spot' stayed in Tuano's hand.
Perfect took first, with the next spot Sharon (John Luetke), Jack Houston Hawk
Womack snuck up on us all with a DragonFly "Sturdy" no less.
Fourth went to Sharon. ( Gordy), Jim Frickie brought up the rear :-) with
another Perfect

I think I counted 30 Sharons flying, a bunch of Supra's, followed by a
gaggle of Perfects and some of the other stuff :)

This year was honored by the attendance of ESL pilot Mike (RCSE) Lachowski!
Like most of us east-of-the-Mississippi guys, he found out about Texas
winds, picking up a zero behind a notorious tree line. But don't let that fool
you, he flew fantastic.

I had a fantastic save flight just behind the landing zone, while he just
went off to great air on the launch!

Winches were really great today and the TNT Team kept everything in order
and fun.

Barry was CD and did a great job of keeping things rolling, insuring all
rounds would be in before Beerthirty:-)

Good times and food at John Luetke's place (HKM USA), Barry, Edgar, Andy,
Rob (the poor guy who had me as a timer this weekend, and the guy who I owe my
Fourth place plaque to).

I really didn't have my landing thumbs on today, so when they called my
name, I was totally stunned that so many really good pilots sucked so bad today !
:-)

Tomorrow its supposed to be hot and windy so maybe things will be the
....same?
