Woa! I just actually said that out loud (people never actually LOL, they just type it). Brian, what do you do in Ferdinand? I work within about 5 minutes of that site and live within about 15. I too have looked at it. My grandmother owns the farm directly behind the cleared area (it is cleared by some folks that hope to sell that land to a Cracker Barrel).

Give me a call on Monday and I'll fly with you. 317.727.4921.

Glad I joined this list...

In Ferdinand, IN right off of I-64 (exit 63) there is a spot that has been cleared and filled in for future industrial use but currently is vacant. I have been eyeing this spot for a long time now but never had a good opportunity to fly there. I had the Bat with me in case I could make it to Frankfort but it was a little too sketchy for a heavy wing so I went with the Swyft hand launcher. I tossed it out a few time and got blown back over the top so I taped some quarters to it for ballast and got in some decent flights. The wind was just a little off of ideal (and so was the plane) so I couldn't stay up too long but it was promising. I will bring a better plane with me on monday when I return to finish the job I started yesterday. Hopefully the wind will cooperate. I was gettin' jealous of you guys having all the fun in Frankfort. I feel better now. Brian

I must have just missed you Tony. I don't remember looking at my watch but we had to pass on the road. When I first got there I flew for about 15 minutes and had to break for rain. Plane under the truck and about 10-15 minutes later the rain let up and the wind picked up. I only had my Pike with me but the DS was smookin. The grove seemed to move around quite a bit but I managed to get the wings flexing pretty good. Nice day.
