I got in a little stick time at a foreign slope yesterday. In Ferdinand, IN
right off of I-64 (exit 63) there is a spot that has been cleared and filled
in for future industrial use but currently is vacant. I have been eyeing
this spot for a long time now but never had a good opportunity to fly
there. I had the Bat with me in case I could make it to Frankfort but it
was a little too sketchy for a heavy wing so I went with the Swyft hand
launcher. I tossed it out a few time and got blown back over the top so I
taped some quarters to it for ballast and got in some decent flights. The
wind was just a little off of ideal (and so was the plane) so I couldn't
stay up too long but it was promising. I will bring a better plane with me
on monday when I return to finish the job I started yesterday. Hopefully
the wind will cooperate. I was gettin' jealous of you guys having all the
fun in Frankfort. I feel better now.
