Hi guys,
We got one in! :)
and I think we all learned what it takes.
Since its a club thing, chipping in to get the winch set up, landing spot,
etc has to be #1 priority, can't be the CD's responsibility. As you could see
I had my hands full with getting the Easy glider set up and helping with
Lee's plane and radio set up. If you want to fly as a CD we have to help the CD
(or is it save the cheerleader, I forget :-).
The club winch has worked its ass off this past season and showed that it
needs some key things checked out, set screws tightened, solenoid replaced, new
swivels on the lines to cut down in twists, Pedals plug wires checked out.
We took on the MidAm and it could be huge for us and the central soaring
community, that brings responsibility to make sure equipment is up to snuff for
it too. That's another benefit of bi-montly club contests. We all get more
familiar with equipment and prep.
We have incredible talent in our club all the way down to Lee. That will
improve with club contests, so look out soaring world :-)
Great day!
Gordy
