[LASS Soaring] RE: new plane

Hi Rob,
I have flown two Experience Pro's, they are very much like the Pike Superior
in performance, a good thing.

Dale Nutter did a review in RC Soaring Digest Magazine this month detailing
his experience using the new Airtronics 2.4 system in a carbon kevlar fuse
sailplane like the Experience Pro. That system has one RX with 6" long
shielded twin antennas, which allow actual antenna wires (1" exposed at each end of
the 6") to be safely routed out thru the walls of the fuse so that the signal
can reach the RX safely. This is not possible with the Spectrum, so no you
can't use the Spectrum system in your Experience fuse. They are working in
2.4 friendly fuses (no carbon in the noses).

I have tested the xtreme system extensively in a Pikes, Sharon, Perfect,
Supra, Organic and AVAs. and it can't be used in them.

Congrats on the new plane! With your 72mhz system , you need to extend your
RX's antenna with enough wire so that 16" (exact length not critical) hangs
out the hingeline of the rudder....or watch your new plane hit the ground.
Applies to pretty much all TD ships flying today...

The fuse has a carbon weave in it, Does the 2.4 tx radios have a problem
with this? I was thinking of getting one.
