Hi Guys,
 
Just got back from my Northeast beach travels, and found the HUGE box  
Merrill and Phil packed it in.
 
Opening it up I found a river of peanuts, as in tons by volume!
 
I pulled the wing panels first and if you don't know the Marauder well, the  
center panel has dihedral built into the middle, and it makes up most of the  
wing, Merrill designed a unique system for the tip hedral..he built a few bays 
 of the tips as part of the main panel, so the main panel has two short bent 
tips  of its own.  The tips are flat and plug into the main.  Very cool  
because it makes it a very flat packer.
 
The fuse is amazing!  Merrill came up with a jig system for his own  builds 
and used it on this ship.  So the fuse looks  molded.  They knew I traveled so 
they made the tail feathers bolt  on/removable.
 
They chose to use Monocote to cover it, and one of the things about  Monocote 
is its gloss finish and stiffness.  Trans red over the open bays,  white 
leading edge trim, Volz blue fuse to match my  
Sharon,Perfect,Supra,Giant,Laser,Super AVA.
 
I won't get to fly it for awhile, leaving for a 1400 mile motor bike trip  
through the French Alps with my son, Volz and his son...so it will be about a  
week or so before she sees Kentucky air. :-(
 
All up weight ready to fly with 2.4 system...69ozs.
