They are all in the game now. I think Futaba hit the home run a couple of
weeks ago with their announcements. They will also be showing the new 12
channel radio and models for the entire line.

I suspect the 2.4 stuff will follow loyalty lines. The odd man out appears
to be the XPS guy. Lets see if he actually has the stuff. He'll do well.

Good points Darwin.

Right now the 'show me the money' guys are the XPS and Horizon guys. With
Horizon being the LEADERS!

"Its actions that represent character not words" As top TOC pilot and world
class kite flyer Benjamin F said.:-)

>From an action standpoint (take your Ford, Dodge, GMC, Futaba,Airtronics
hats off for a second and lets look at what has been done, versus said)

Horizon is the wayyyy out front leader. While the others are 'announcing'
Horizon is into their second generation 2.4 and AT it with a full selection of
RX, TXs and retro fits.

When the big four lined up at the Missouri state line, only Horizon/JR and
XPS get to enter, with JR allowed in FIRST by a bunch of car lengths. (Show Me
state, get it?)

When everything has been said and done, Horizon/JR have a history of having
more done than said for the past few years.

This isn't about brand loyalty its about get't it done fact. Product on the
shelf proof stuff.

What history ? Servos for high performance competition sailplanes, 368.
Tiny, fast PCM, Tiny fast PCM Synth, FULL line Synth, Retro Fit
Synth....employees who fly and compete, sponsored series sailplane contests, sponsored Scale
Aero Tow, Masters inspirers...

Don't try to take this thread off to what used to be, or who 'used' to
....this one is about the difference in who actually has the stuff at Toledo.
Horizon has had it before, and XPS has a module and RX now.

Futaba isn't late, since they don't actually have anything yet. That doesn't
make them bad, but the other two get some good points for taking the lead :-)

Course there is that old thing about the old bull and young bull who see a
heard of cows, the young bull runs down and flirts them all up, tiring as he
does it and the old bull wades in and makes hay :)

Futaba is an old bull, lets see if they can make hay. Horizon has set the
standard pretty high with 2.4 product selection and retro fits. XPS's
performance claims seem to put their system stratospherically high...is there a value
to having something work 'better' than 'works'?

We'll see, for now WAY TO GO Horizon and XPS :-)

The gigglehurts gauntlet has been thrown ;-) Lets see who else picks it up.
Gordy
