[LASS Soaring] That heavy ass Blaster II ...is awesome :-)

Well, alright, if you are going to assume that *you* are going to fly an
XP-5, well, then I can't guarantee anything! :)
When I make the argument about weight and the incremental increases in
efficiency and airfoil and all that stuff that you shouldn't be
concerned about on game day, I don't assume that two pilots of
completely different skill level are flying them. That wouldn't be a
very good argument.
Now if I was flying the XP-5 and Bruce had the Blaster II, right-handed....
Anyway, weight, efficiency and strength *are* crucial in a DLG. A DLG
is launched 30-50 times in a one day contest. It needs to be light,
strong and slippery. It's got to be able to be launched high and float
long. A 10.5 ounce Blaster ain't gonna outlaunch or outlast an 8.5
ounce XP-5 (on the average, given equal skill of pilot and the same
thermal patterns and the same charge on their batteries, etc, etc).
