I'll give you that the Blaster is a "good thing" for DLG.  It's 
plentiful and the price-point is real competitive.  Kudos to Kennedy for 
putting it out there.

But as far as "two ounces either way won't put an extra minute per toss 
on the board" - I'd have to disagree with you there.
Maneuverability, nimbleness, ability to tightly thermal - those things 
are really, really important on any sailplane, and especially on a DLG. 
The wing on the new Blaster is extremely heavy.  The hot DLG in Europe, 
the Aspirin, has a full-carbon wing that weighs less. 

A heavy wing is not a good thing on a DLG.  You've got a lot of forces 
being exerted at launch, and with a reduced pylon and a heavier wing, 
I'm not sure that they'd be robust enough.   Waiting to hear back on that.

BUT - you'll be able to buy one at Toledo!  I wish I could say that 
about the XP-5 :)
