[LASS Soaring] "Soaring Masters, the Spectacle on the Field, from the Field!'

I got to the field at about 6:30 and there are those huge Hollywood type  
spot lights criss crossing the sky, there must be a dozen of them.  
 
The temp is already warm and friendly, they have the entire field groomed  
really low, it looks a lot like a golf green, with diagonal cut lines in the  
grass.
 
The tent is glowing in the morning dark like a huge flying saucer from  outer 
space and I can hear thermal duration music coming from the tent....but  its 
the smell that is most amazing!
 
They have flown in chef's from as far away as Tullahoma who have sort of an  
Iron Chef set up going making all sorts of omlets,  the waffles look so  
crispy that you can hear them crunch just looking at them.  One table has a  
multiple selection of just syrups, warming above Sterno cans.
 
JoJo sent some maple syrup that he personal drained from a rare maple  specie 
only found near his home in Norway, and the line is forming in front of  it.  
Kind of hard to describe the flavor but I heard one of the Chicago  guys say 
it reminded him of gorgeous Egyptian belly dancers.
 
The vendors have all the latest new contest ships on display, I am not  
talking old crap like Supras, Perfects and Espada's, I mean new designs not yet  
named, and I have to tell you, soaring is gonna get knocked on its butt,when  
this new turn in designs is released!

JW doesn't have shoes on.
