Heh.  I launch well with my RES ship - I'm still getting the hang of the 
"ping" with my unlimited ship.  Earlier launches had me all over the sky 
  criss crossing winch lines and what not.  That last one was straight 
up the line with good speed, from camber to reflex at the right time and 
a good dip into a reasonable zoom.

So that is why I said it was the best launch I'd had for that plane -- 
more technically than altitude.

Though you certainly can't discount Marc's hustling backward and 
proceeding to spank the rest of the group with an excellent catch into a 
thermal.  So maybe Gordy is right...  either way, lesson learned!

And, for the record, I had my plane put away before Marc hit the ground ;)
