Well okay so I thought I could get the second one done in 5 mins but I got
interrupted by the dogs needing to go outside.
Tony is right it takes a sharpened point on the soldering pencil but mostly
it takes a clean tip and not much solder.
After tinning the ends of the servo lead, I trim all but a dot of wire left
outside the insulation.
A clean tip makes sure that you 'heat the work, not the solder', the key to
soldering anything electronic ..quickly.
To make the connection I first do a trial fit of the two connections and
then just do it. All three spots went dot dot dot and done, then I use the
soldering tip to notch the side of the case for the wire to exit, arrange the
extra wire inside, plug the memory chip back in place, put the actuator button
back in its holder and close up the case.
I'm sure Tony just wanted Tony just wanted to make sure none of you guys did
it so only we would be taking photos and videos with out planes :-)
If anyone would like to use the tiny Volz male and female connectors to do
their camera instead of the JR type connector coming out of the camera let me
know I'll see if I have a few spares
